I was at this show 84/85 were great years to be on tour.. !
the boys always rock Maine! one of the first times I heard Phil sing it was awesome! the whole let phil sing thing was going on then…the dead were still a way rocking intimate experience then…we were tripping balls, and after the show these huge snowflakes were falling…and it was real , not the liquid…i got that confirmed.. :)

with Utopian's assessment. This AUD recording sounds better than many of the FMs from this period. If it weren't for the lineage stated in the source material, I'd even question whether it was an AUD. Just goes to show the Oades knew what they were doing. 5 stars to counter the effect of Utopian's 2.

Good times. Finally taking the time to really revisit this time period. Lot's of great aud's from this year and the Oade's were no slouches. I wouldn't say this recording sounds flat, if you know/like aud's give it a listen. Sounds crispy to me and pretty much captures the bands sound as I remember it for this time in these mid-size sheds. Pretty typical night of GD in 85. Solid perf. and worth the dl.
3 show.
4.5 for the recording.

I never understood why people like the soundquality of these shows.
They sound flat, distant and with little bass.

This AUD sounds friggin killer, and the Tom Thumb's sounds awesome. It is a very delicate and sublime version, not like the way they usually played it. There is a great April Fool's party type feel to this show!
